The Adventures of Elder Clement: End of First Transfer

Hiya from Ireland.

This week has been an interesting one! If anyone were to have asked me a few days ago, I would've said it was a terrible week. But with a great day yesterday a weeks worth of disappointment is nothing.

We began the week with a fun P-day at Kylemore Abbey in Connemara -- pictures attached for that cool experience.

We had Zone meeting on Tuesday in Limerick, then Wednesday we traveled to Dublin for a meeting for trainees called 'Smart Start'. The meetings were good but it was frustrating not having any time on Monday, Tuesday, orWednesday to do any work.

Thursday, then, we had weekly planning. Yet more time to spend not out sharing about the good news of Jesus Christ. However, all things of God must be done in wisdom and order, so we submitted. Thursday was also some weird special day in the flat for some reason...  I guess everyone was tired of having an 18 year old missionary around.

It was a pretty hard day, but like all days, it ended!

We spent the next couple days teaching many of our investigators per usual, and yesterday we were blessed to find many new African (and a few Irish) families who were open to hearing our message and invited us to come back!

After a few days of a test of faith, we were able to find success as we focused on planning, prayer, and work on Saturday and Sunday. We had 4 investigators at church and we've seen the Lord's hand so clearly.

Yesterday we got our moves call in the flat. Elder Leonard and I are staying (which was expected, to finish our last 6 weeks of training), but Elder Nordfors is leaving to go to Edinburgh to learn Mandarin! How neat is that?

Elder White is also staying here as District Leader, and he'll be training a new greenie like me.

As y'all can see, it's been an interesting week. I'm grateful for all the birthday wishes and happy to hear about all the good things that are going on back in Texas. I read a little about some of the things talked about in the Worldwide Training last night, but we won't get to watch it till this Sunday.

"We begin each day where we left off the previous day. The principle is immutable. We cannot begin a journey from where we are not or from where we wish we were.
